Keith R. Peterson
With over 35 years of experience in nonprofit management, Keith has dedicated his career to the Human Services field. As the first Director of services for persons with developmental disabilities for Catholic Charities of Baltimore, MD, his responsibilities included the development and administration of a full array of residential, day activity and necessary supports for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Most recently, Keith served as the CEO of Penn-Mar Human Services until his retirement in early 2013. During his tenure as CEO, he guided operations and supervised all departments including Fiscal, H.R., Fund Development and all services for this rapidly growing agency. Prior professional associations have provided him a wealth of State and national experience in the Human Service field; including such organizations as: American Association for Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD); Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP); and with Board membership on the Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disabilities (PAR) and the Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS). As a 2007 recipient of the York Federal Fellowship program, he participated thereafter as a member of the York Federal Fellowship Council. Currently, continuing his advocacy for persons with intellectual disabilities, he serves as Secretary of the Board for the First Maryland Disability Trust and as a member of the Board of Directors for CHANGE, Inc.
